Rube Walker (full name: Albert Bluford Walker; no nicknames) played catcher from 1948 until 1958 for the Chicago Cubs, Brooklyn Dodgers and Los Angeles Dodgers. He played for the Cubs from 1948 - 1951, Dodgers from 1951 - 1957 and Dodgers in 1958. Over 11 seasons, he played 608 games, hit 35 home runs, drove in 114 runs, and stole 3 bases. Born on May 16, 1926 in Lenoir, NC, Walker stood 6' 0" and weighed 175 lb. He attended Lenior (Lenior, NC) high school. His debut was on April 20, 1948 and he played his final game on June 15, 1958.
