Rube Walberg (full name: George Elvin Walberg; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1931 until 1937 for the Philadelphia Athletics and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Athletics from 1931 - 1933 and Red Sox from 1934 - 1937. Over 15 seasons, he started 306 games, won 155 games, struck out 1085 batters, and had a 4.16 ERA. Born on July 27, 1896 in Pine City, MN, Walberg stood 6' 1" and weighed 190 lb. He attended Seattle (Seattle, WA) (All Transactions) high school.
