Royce Clayton (full name: Royce Spencer Clayton; no nicknames) played shortstop from 1991 until 2007 for the San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Colorado Rockies, Arizona Diamondbacks, Washington Nationals, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays. He played for the Giants from 1991 - 1995, Cardinals from 1996 - 1998, Rangers from 1998 - 2000, White Sox from 2001 - 2002, Brewers in 2003, Rockies in 2004, Diamondbacks in 2005, Nationals in 2006, Reds in 2006, Red Sox in 2007 and Jays in 2007. Over 17 seasons, he played 2108 games, hit 110 home runs, drove in 935 runs, and stole 231 bases. Born on January 2, 1970 in Burbank, CA, Clayton stands 6' 0" and weighs 175 lb. He attended St. Bernards (Playa del Rey, CA) high school and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 1st round (15th pick) of the 1988 amateur draft.
