About Roy Williams Memorabilia & Collectibles
Roy Eugene Williams, Jr. is a professional American football player playing for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He attended high school at the Odessa- Permian and went to college at the University of Texas. He spent his collegiate football career there and was part of what was named to be the most talented group of receivers in the school’s history.
Williams was selected as the 7th overall pick by the Detroit Lions in the 1st round of the 2004 NFL Draft. With Charles Rogers, they became one of the best receiving pair of receivers in the NFL. Though the Lions performed poorly during the season, Williams still showed his notable playing style. In 2006, he played productively and recorded the most receiving yards in the NFC. He was also named to his first Pro Bowl, playing as a substitute for the then injured Torry Holt. On October 14, 2008, Williams was traded to the Dallas Cowboys and started 7 games in his first season with them. As per Week 17 of the 2009 season, Williams has 292 receptions, 4,296 receiving yards, and 31 receiving touchdowns.
