Roy Sherid (full name: Royden Richard Sherid; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1929 until 1931 for the New York Yankees. He played for the Yankees from 1929 - 1931. Over 3 seasons, he started 44 games, won 23 games, struck out 149 batters, and had a 4.71 ERA. Born on January 25, 1907 in Norristown, PA, Sherid stood 6' 2" and weighed 185 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on May 11, 1929 and he played his final game on June 21, 1931. Common misspellings of his name include Royden Richard Roy Sherid.
