Ron Northey (full name: Ronald James Northey; no nicknames) played rightfielder from 1942 until 1957 for the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox. He played for the Phillies from 1942 - 1957, Blue Jays from 1943 - 1944, Cardinals from 1947 - 1949, Reds in 1950, Cubs from 1950 - 1952 and White Sox from 1955 - 1957. Over 12 seasons, he played 1084 games, hit 108 home runs, drove in 385 runs, and stole 7 bases. Born on April 26, 1920 in Mahanoy City, PA, Northey stood 5' 10" and weighed 195 lb. He attended Frackville (Frackville, PA) high school. His debut was on April 14, 1942 and he played his final game on September 28, 1957.
