Ron Mercer (full name: Ronald Eugene Mercer; Ron) played Guard-Forward from 1998 until 2005 for the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, San Antonio Spurs and New Jersey Nets. Over 8 seasons, he played 432 games, scored 5892 points (13.6 ppg) and grabbed 1342 rebounds (3.1 rpg). Mercer also dished out 921 assists (2.1 apg), made 456 steals (1.1 spg), and blocked 113 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Nashville, Tennessee on May 18, 1976, Mercer stands 6-7 and weighs 210 lbs. He attended high school at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia and college at University of Kentucky. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 1st round (6th pick, 6th overall) of the 1997 NBA draft.
