Ron Gant is a retired professional baseball player who played in the Major League Baseball from 1987 to 2003. He is part of the 30-30 club, reaching at least 30 in stolen bases and home runs each for one season. Gant was able to do so after playing for the Atlanta Braves in 1990 and 1991.
He was called up to join the Braves in September of 1987 and was able to post 22 hits with 83 at-bats and two homeruns. It would only be in 1990 when Gant would finally be able to play each game. In 1991, Gant was able to play for the Braves in the World Series against the Minnesota Twins.
In 1992, Gant was named into the All-Star and again in 1995. Gant was able to play again in the World Series but against the Toronto Blue Jays this time during the 1992 season. Gant was in the top 5 in the entire league when it came to the ranking for runs batted in during the 1991 and the 1993 seasons.
After his lackluster performance with the Cardinals in 1996 to 1998, he was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies. He had a .260 batting average including 17 homeruns.
