Rollie Hemsley (full name: Ralston Burdett Hemsley; no nicknames) played catcher from 1932 until 1947 for the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies. He played for the Cubs in 1932, Reds from 1933 - 1942, Browns from 1934 - 1937, Indians from 1938 - 1941, Yankees from 1942 - 1944 and Phillies from 1946 - 1947. Over 19 seasons, he played 1593 games, hit 31 home runs, drove in 562 runs, and stole 29 bases. Born on June 24, 1907 in Syracuse, OH (All Transactions), Hemsley stood 5' 10" and weighed 170 lb.
