Roger Wehrli is a former American professional football player. He was born in New Point, Missouri and took his college education when he attended the University of Missouri. Throughout his fourteen season career from 1969 until 1982, Wehrli played as cornerback for the then St. Louis Cardinal, now Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. Wehrli was listed at 6 ft. and 190 lbs. He began his professional football career in the National Football League after he was drafted 1969 NFL Draft by the then St. Louis Cardinals. He was the first round pick of the team during the draft.
Wehrli, had a nice start as a rookie during his first pro season when he became an All-Rookie choice in 1969, and in the following year, Wehrli was voted All-Pro. Wehrli's excellent attribute was his speed and during his career, Wehrli had forty career interceptions for three hundred nine yards and recovered nineteen fumbles. Wehrli’s mahor career highlight is being a seven time Pro Bowl selection in 1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977 and 1979. An in 2007, Wehrli became an inductee into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
