Sharod Lamor White plays as a wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He was an all- around athlete even in high school; he played football, baseball and wrestling. As a football player, he was named All- Low Country twice, and was listed as one of the top receivers in the country by Rivals.com.

 

He got sociology major at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He was the leader in receiving yards during his collegiate career, and was named an All- Conference USA second selection in his junior year. He was drafted as the 27th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2005 NFL entry draft. Ranking as 4th among the rookie receivers, he suffered from an ankle sprain for most of the preseason which kept him on the sidelines. He played remarkably against the Minnesota Vikings and continued to improve. His 2008 season was better than the previous one and he broke the long standing receiving yards team record by Alfred Jenkins. In 2009, White became the leader in receiving yards in one game while playing against the San Francisco 49ers. To date, White has 315 receptions, 4, 689 receiving yards, and 27 receiving touch downs.
