Robert Reichel is currently the captain of his home town team HC Litvinov in Czechoslovakia. Litvinov is a town in the Ustinad Laben region of the Czech Republic where Robert Reichel was also born. The HC Litvinov ice hockey club is based in the town.
Being the captain of the HC Litvinov, Reichel is a member also of the Czech men’s national ice hockey team. The Czech men’s national ice hockey team is the national team of the Czech Republic. One of the most successful national ice hockey in the world, Czech is currently ranked 5th by the IIHF, behind Finland. Robert Reichel scored the lone shootout goal for the Czech Republic in their semi-final win over Canada in the Winter Olympics in 1998. The Czech won the gold medal at the Winter Olympics in 1998 and 3 straight gold medals in the World Champions in 1999 to 2001. The 1998 Winter Olympics is officially the XVIII Olympic Winter Games which was celebrated in Nogano, Japan in 1998.
Reichel stands 5feet 10 inches (1.78m) and weighs 182 lb (83kg), was born on the 25th day of June, 1971. He is a professional ice hockey centre who shoots left. He played in the National Hockey League for the Calgary Flames, New York Islanders, Phoenix Coyote and Toronto Maple Leafs. During his career, he was given the Directorate Award for Best Forward and All-Star Selection by the IIHF world junior hockey championship in 1990.

Robert Reichel (full name: Robert Reichel; no nicknames) played center from 1991 until 2004 for the Calgary Flames, New York Islanders, Phoenix Coyotes and Toronto Maple Leafs. He played for the Flames from 1991 - 1997, Islanders from 1997 - 1999, Coyotes in 1999 and Leafs from 2002 - 2004. Over 11 seasons, he played 830 games, scored 252 goals, and made 378 assists. Born in Litvinov, Czechoslovakia on June 25, 1971, Reichel stands 5-10 and weighs 180 lbs. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 4th round (70th overall) of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft.
