About Robert Edwards Memorabilia & Collectibles
Robert Lee Edwards, III who recently played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League is a professional American football running back who is currently a free agent.
Edwards was a notable collegiate player at the University of Georgia. He played cornerback for his entire sophomore season then was converted to running back right after. With his new position, he set a record for scoring five touchdowns in a game against the University of South Carolina. He was picked by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft. Other running back players in the draft include
Fred Taylor for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He ran 1,115 yards for the Patriots in that season before his major knee injury at an NFL flag football game in Hawaii. He stopped playing football until 2002, when he made his comeback with the Miami Dolphins, in which running back
Ricky Williams has just been traded from New Orleans Saints. That season was then spent sharing third-down back duties with fellow running back
