Rob Pearson is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey in the National Hockey League. Pearson served as a right winger throughout the six seasons that he appeared in the NHL. Pearson has also played in other league aside from the NHL. Pearson was born in Oshawa, Ontario and accepted an assistant coach job for the team of the University Of Ontario Institute Of Technology in his hometown of Oshawa.
Pearson started his professional career playing for the Ontario Hockey League. He was with the Belleville Bulls and played for the team from 1988 to 1990. During the 1989 season, the Bulls were able to get to the playoffs and Pearson was able to score 5 goals and totaled 10 points after playing in 11 games. During his last season in the OHL, Pearson played for the Oshawa Generals. Pearson helped the team get to the playoffs and scored a total of 33 points by making 13 goals after playing in 16 games.
Pearson was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs during the first round of the 1989 NHL entry draft. After playing for two seasons in the AHL, Pearson was finally able to break into the Maple Leafs roster in 1991. Pearson’s best season came in 1992 when he played in a total of 78 games and scored 37 points after making 23 goals.

Rob Pearson (full name: Rob Pearson; no nicknames) played right wing from 1992 until 1997 for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals and St. Louis Blues. He played for the Leafs from 1992 - 1994, Capitals in 1995 and Blues from 1996 - 1997. Over 6 seasons, he played 269 games, scored 56 goals, and made 54 assists. Born in Oshawa, Ontario on March 8, 1971, Pearson stands 6-3 and weighs 198 lbs. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1st round (12th overall) of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft.
