Rob McClanahan (full name: Rob McClanahan; no nicknames) played center from 1980 until 1984 for the Buffalo Sabres, Hartford Whalers and New York Rangers. He played for the Sabres from 1980 - 1981, Whalers in 1982 and Rangers from 1982 - 1984. Over 5 seasons, he played 224 games, scored 38 goals, and made 63 assists. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 9, 1958, McClanahan stands 5-10 and weighs 180 lbs. He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 3rd round (49th overall) of the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft.
