Ripper Collins (full name: James Anthony Collins; no nicknames) played first baseman and rightfielder from 1932 until 1941 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Cardinals from 1932 - 1936, Cubs from 1937 - 1938 and Pirates in 1941. Over 9 seasons, he played 1084 games, hit 135 home runs, drove in 615 runs, and stole 18 bases. Born on March 30, 1904 in Altoona, PA (All Transactions), Collins stood 5' 9" and weighed 165 lb. He attended high school.
