Rick Vaive (full name: Rick Vaive; no nicknames) played right wing from 1980 until 1992 for the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Blackhawks and Buffalo Sabres. He played for the Canucks in 1980, Leafs from 1980 - 1987, Blackhawks from 1988 - 1989 and Sabres from 1989 - 1992. Over 13 seasons, he played 876 games, scored 441 goals, and made 347 assists. Born in Ottawa, Ontario on May 14, 1959, Vaive stands 6-1 and weighs 198 lbs. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1st round (5th overall) of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft.
