Rick Tabaracci (full name: Rick Tabaracci; no nicknames) played goalie from 1989 until 2000 for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, Washington Capitals, Calgary Flames, Tampa Bay Lightning, Atlanta Thrashers and Colorado Avalanche. He played for the Penguins in 1989, Jets from 1991 - 1993, Capitals from 1993 - 1999, Flames from 1995 - 1998, Lightning in 1997, Thrashers in 2000 and Avalanche in 2000. Over 11 seasons, he played 286 games, scored 0 goals, and made 8 assists. Born in Toronto, Ontario on January 2, 1969, Tabaracci stands 6-1 and weighs 190 lbs. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2nd round (26th overall) of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. Tabaracci officially announced retirement on August 26, 2002.
