Rick Ley (full name: Rick Ley; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1969 until 1981 for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Hartford Whalers. He played for the Leafs from 1969 - 1972 and Whalers from 1980 - 1981. Over 6 seasons, he played 310 games, scored 12 goals, and made 72 assists. Born in Orillia, Ontario on November 2, 1948, Ley stands 5-9 and weighs 190 lbs. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 3rd round (16th overall) of the 1966 NHL Amateur Draft.
