Rick Leach (full name: Richard Max Leach; no nicknames) played outfielder, pinch hitter and first baseman from 1981 until 1990 for the Detroit Tigers, Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers and San Francisco Giants. He played for the Tigers from 1981 - 1983, Jays from 1984 - 1988, Rangers in 1989 and Giants in 1990. Over 10 seasons, he played 799 games, hit 18 home runs, drove in 205 runs, and stole 8 bases. Born on May 4, 1957 in Ann Arbor, MI, Leach stands 6' 1" and weighs 180 lb. He attended Southwestern (Flint, MI) high school and was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 1st round (13th pick) of the 1979 amateur draft.
