Rick Green (full name: Rick Green; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1977 until 1992 for the Washington Capitals, Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings and New York Islanders. He played for the Capitals from 1977 - 1982, Canadies from 1983 - 1989, Red Wings in 1991 and Islanders in 1992. Over 15 seasons, he played 845 games, scored 43 goals, and made 220 assists. Born in Belleville, Ontario on February 20, 1956, Green stands 6-3 and weighs 220 lbs. He was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 1st round (1st overall) of the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft.
