Rick Bowness (full name: Rick Bowness; no nicknames) played right wing from 1976 until 1982 for the Atlanta Flames, Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets. He played for the Flames from 1976 - 1977, Red Wings in 1978, Blues from 1979 - 1980 and Jets from 1981 - 1982. Over 6 seasons, he played 173 games, scored 18 goals, and made 37 assists. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick on January 25, 1955, Bowness stands 6-1 and weighs 185 lbs. He was drafted by the Atlanta Flames in the 2nd round (26th overall) of the 1975 NHL Amateur Draft.
