Richie Hebner (full name: Richard Joseph Hebner; no nicknames) played third baseman and first baseman from 1968 until 1985 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs. He played for the Pirates from 1968 - 1983, Phillies from 1977 - 1978, Mets in 1979, Tigers from 1980 - 1982 and Cubs from 1984 - 1985. Over 18 seasons, he played 1908 games, hit 203 home runs, drove in 865 runs, and stole 38 bases. Born on November 26, 1947 in Boston, MA, Hebner stands 6' 1" and weighs 195 lb. He attended Norwood (Norwood, MA) high school and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1st round (15th pick) of the 1966 amateur draft.
