James Richard Harden was born on November 30, 1981 in Victoria, British Columbia. He is a professional baseball player who functions as a starting pitcher. He graduated from Central Arizona College where he played baseball with Ian Kinsler, a future MLB baseman. He was originally drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 1999 but did not enter a deal with them and was re-drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 2000 Major League Baseball Draft.
