Richard Francis Chiles, better known as Rich Chiles hails from Sacramento, California and was born on November 22, 1949. He is well-remembered as an excellent outfielder in the course of the Major League Baseball. He had been recognized by many people for his outstanding performances as well as his amazing energy in every game he was in. he got his kick-off start at the MLB when he was chosen by the Houston Astros during an amateur draft in the year 1968. He stayed with such group for two years, helping the group in achieving victory over their opposing teams.
 
Later on, Rich Chiles moved in to the New York Mets. The said group is famous for its remarkable lineup of great players such as Keith Hernandez, a first baseman from San Francisco, California, John Franco, a pitcher from Brooklyn, New York, as well as Gary Carter, a catcher from Culver City who is also tagged as the “Kid” or the “Kid Carter”. He attended Winters (Winters, CA) high school and was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 2nd round of the 1968 amateur draft. His debut was on April 20, 1971 and he played his final game on September 30, 1978. Common misspellings of his name include Richard Francis Rich rick rip Chiles.
