Ricard Persson (full name: Ricard Persson; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1996 until 2002 for the New Jersey Devils, St. Louis Blues and Ottawa Senators. He played for the Devils from 1996 - 1997, Blues from 1997 - 2000 and Senators from 2001 - 2002. Over 7 seasons, he played 229 games, scored 10 goals, and made 44 assists. Born in Ostersund, Sweden on August 24, 1969, Persson stands 6-1 and weighs 201 lbs. He was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 2nd round (23rd overall) of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.
