American football running back, Reuben Droughns plays for the New York Giants. He was born on August 21, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois.

 

Droughns had studied at Anaheim High School where he was able to make 49 blazing touchdowns and rushed for 4,915 yards. He continued his studies at the University of Oregon and he was then drafted by the Detroit Lions during the third round of the National Football League Draft in the year 2000. Droughns decided to play with the Denver Broncos for three seasons and he was then traded to the Browns on March 30, 2005. During his debut season, he became the first player of the Browns to accomplish 1,000 yards rushing in one season. In 2004, he rushed for 1,240 yards but was not guaranteed for the starting job in 2005 season that is why he decided to ask for a trade from the team.  It was on March 9, 2007 when he was traded to the New York Giants.

 

During the 2006 National Football League season, he became the team’s featured running back. When he was pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence, Droughns never missed any playing time and was then acquitted of all the charges on May 9, 2006.
