Renie Martin (full name: Donald Renie Martin; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1979 until 1984 for the Kansas City Royals, San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies. He played for the Royals from 1979 - 1981, Giants from 1982 - 1984 and Phillies in 1984. Over 6 seasons, he started 51 games, won 24 games, struck out 237 batters, and had a 4.27 ERA. Born on August 30, 1955 in Dover, DE, Martin stands 6' 4" and weighs 190 lb. He attended high school and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 19th round of the 1977 amateur draft. His debut was on May 9, 1979 and he played his final game on September 30, 1984. Common misspellings of his name include Donald Renie Martin.
