About Reggie Abercrombie Memorabilia & Collectibles

 
A former Center Fielder for the Major League baseball, Reggie Abercrombie started his MLB life in 2006 as a member of the Florida Marlins and had his last MLB game after two years in 20008. However, he continued to play the game in different avenues working for the Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants in 2010 and Tigres de Quintana Roo at present.
 
A fresh graduate from Columbus High School, Abercrombie was already chosen by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1999 MLB draft. However, he chose to turn down the offer in favour of attending the Lake City Community College. In 2006, the Florida Marlins took notice of him after having a remarkable statistics in the spring training. Hanley Ramirez, the current shortstop of the Florida Marlins, Jeremy Hermida, the outfielder of the Cincinnati Reds, and Scott Olsen, the starting pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, are just some of the players who joined Abercrombie in a rookie line up of players in the 2006 season.
 
A game against the Cincinnati Reds proved his prowess in the field as he faced Mike Gosling and made a home run of 486 feet. This record is one of the furthest recorded distance in MLB. In 2008, Abercrombie decided to go minor league and played for the Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants where he aided the team go through the championships. On February 23, 2011, he became an official member of the Tigres De Quintana Roo.

He played for the Marlins from 2006 - 2007 and Astros in 2008. Over 3 seasons, he played 180 games, hit 9 home runs, drove in 65 runs, and stole 18 bases. Born on July 15, 1980 in Columbus, GA, Abercrombie stands 6' 3" and weighs 224 lb. He attended Columbus (Columbus, GA) high school and was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 23rd round of the 1999 amateur draft. His debut was on April 4, 2006 and he played his final game on September 28, 2008. Over his career, Abercrombie made $327,000. Common misspellings of his name include Reginald Damascus Reggie regie reginald Abercrombie.
