Reed Larson (full name: Reed Larson; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1977 until 1990 for the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, New York Islanders, Minnesota North Stars and Buffalo Sabres. He played for the Red Wings from 1977 - 1986, Bruins from 1986 - 1988, Oilers in 1989, Islanders in 1989, North Stars in 1989 and Sabres in 1990. Over 14 seasons, he played 904 games, scored 222 goals, and made 463 assists. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 30, 1956, Larson stands 6-0 and weighs 195 lbs. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2nd round (22nd overall) of the 1976 NHL Amateur Draft.
