Red Rolfe (full name: Robert Abial Rolfe; no nicknames) played third baseman and shortstop from 1931 until 1942 for the New York Yankees. He played for the Yankees from 1931 - 1942. Over 10 seasons, he played 1175 games, hit 69 home runs, drove in 942 runs, and stole 44 bases. Born on October 17, 1908 in Penacook, NH, Rolfe stood 5' 11" and weighed 170 lb. He attended Phillips Exeter Academy (Exeter, NH) high school. His debut was on June 29, 1931 and he played his final game on September 27, 1942. Over his career, Rolfe made $18,000.
