Red Barrett (full name: Charles Henry Barrett; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1937 until 1949 for the Cincinnati Reds, Boston Braves and St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Reds from 1937 - 1940, Braves from 1943 - 1949 and Cardinals from 1945 - 1946. Over 11 seasons, he started 149 games, won 69 games, struck out 333 batters, and had a 3.53 ERA. Born on February 14, 1915 in Santa Barbara, CA (All Transactions), Barrett stood 5' 11" and weighed 183 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 15, 1937 and he played his final game on September 29, 1949. Common misspellings of his name include Charles Henry Red Barrett.
