Ray Scott (full name: John Raymond Scott; Ray, Chink) played Forward-Center from 1962 until 1972 for the Detroit Pistons, Baltimore Bullets and Virginia Squires. Over 11 seasons, he played 811 games, scored 11629 points (14.3 ppg) and grabbed 7979 rebounds (9.8 rpg). Scott also dished out 1781 assists (2.2 apg), made steals (0.0 spg), and blocked shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1938, Scott stands 6-9 and weighs 215 lbs. He attended high school at West Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and college at University of Portland. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 1st round (4th pick, 4th overall) of the 1961 NBA draft.
