Ray Ferraro (full name: Ray Ferraro; no nicknames) played center from 1985 until 2002 for the Hartford Whalers, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Atlanta Thrashers and St. Louis Blues. He played for the Whalers from 1985 - 1991, Islanders from 1991 - 1995, Rangers in 1996, Kings from 1996 - 1999, Thrashers from 2000 - 2002 and Blues in 2002. Over 18 seasons, he played 1258 games, scored 408 goals, and made 490 assists. Born in Trail, British Columbia on August 23, 1964, Ferraro stands 5-9 and weighs 200 lbs. He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 5th round (88th overall) of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. Ferraro officially announced retirement on August 2, 2002.
