About Raul Chavez Memorabilia & Collectibles

One of the great additions to the Major League Baseball lineup for outstanding players, Raul Chavez was boron on March 18, 1973 and hails from Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela. He played as a catcher and is presently working with the New York Mets. During his career period, he was able to set a record with a batting average of .231, 7 home runs as well as 65 runs batted in. moreover, he had been with several teams in the MLB, one of which is the Montreal Expos. He had started with the Expos in 1996 which became his first team in the major league. After sometime, he transferred to the Seattle Mariners in 1998. The said team is famous for having been producing an excellent roster of amazing talents such as that of Randy Johnson, a left-handed pitcher from Walnut Creek, California, Felix Hernandez, a starting pitcher from Valencia, Venezuela and also Kazuhiro Sasaki, another remarkable pitcher from Sendai City, Japan.

Raul Chavez had also been with the Houston Astros in 2000. Six years later, he hopped to another group which is the Baltimore Orioles. Two years after, he decided not to take the minor league role being offered to him which led him to a spot in the Pittsburgh Pirates.

However, on December 22, 2008, he had agreed to be with the Toronto Blue Jays under a minor league assignment. Then later on, he scored his first ever home run given to the Blue Jays at a game they had against the Kansas City Royals.
