Randy Boyd (full name: Randy Boyd; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1982 until 1989 for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Black Hawks, New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks. He played for the Penguins from 1982 - 1984, Black Hawks from 1984 - 1985, Islanders from 1986 - 1987 and Canucks from 1988 - 1989. Over 8 seasons, he played 257 games, scored 20 goals, and made 67 assists. Born in Coniston, Ontario on January 23, 1962, Boyd stands 5-11 and weighs 190 lbs. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 3rd round (51st overall) of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft.
