Ramon Ramirez is a Major League Baseball player. He is posed as pitcher and is currently lined up in the Boston Red Sox. Ramirez was born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Before joining the major leagues, Ramirez attended the Hiroshima Toyo Carp's academy in the Dominican Republic in 2000; Ramirez made his debut with the Carp in 2002. Ramirez did not allow a run in his first 15 1/3 innings pitched, sources say. On March 26, 2008 Ramirez was traded to the Kansas City Royals for Jorge de la Rosa. Ramirez pitched in 71 games for the Royals with a 2.64 ERA. Recently, on November 19, 2008, Ramirez was dealt to the Boston Red Sox for outfielder Coco Crisp.
