Rajon Pierre Rondo is a professional basketball player who comes from Louisville, Kentucky. At present, he serves as point guard to the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association. He studied high school at Eastern High School and also played basketball there. He played college basketball at the University of Kentucky prior to starting his professional career.

In his college career, he led the University of Kentucky to many wins against the University of Louisville, South Carolina and Central Florida though they were not able to get to the final 4 of the NCAA tournament. Rondo was drafted as the 21st overall pick by the Phoenix Suns in the 1st round of the 2006 NBA Draft. He was then traded to the Boston Celtics where he initially served as a back up point guard. He played against teams such as the New Orleans Hornets, Washington Wizards, and San Antonio Spurs, among others. In 2007, he became the starting point guard and helped the Celtics have a great season and eventually winning the 2008 NBA finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. The next season the Celtics made a good start and set a franchise record of winning 19 straight games. In the 2009-2010 season, he was named to the Eastern Conference All- Star team. To date, Rondo has appeared in 316 regular season games, and averages 10.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
