Popeye Jones (full name: Ronald Jerome Jones; Popeye, Ron) played Forward from 1994 until 2004 for the Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards and Golden State Warriors. Over 11 seasons, he played 535 games, scored 3726 points (7.0 ppg) and grabbed 3981 rebounds (7.4 rpg). Jones also dished out 696 assists (1.3 apg), made 300 steals (0.6 spg), and blocked 161 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Dresden, Tennessee on June 17, 1970, Jones stands 6-8 and weighs 250 lbs. He attended high school at Dresden in Dresden, Tennessee and college at Murray State University. He was drafted by the Houston Rockets in the 2nd round (14th pick, 41st overall) of the 1992 NBA draft.
