Phil Paine (full name: Phillips Steere Paine; Flip) played pitcher from 1951 until 1958 for the Boston Braves, Milwaukee Braves and St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Braves in 1951, Braves from 1954 - 1957 and Cardinals in 1958. Over 6 seasons, he played games, won 10 games, struck out 101 batters, and had a 3.36 ERA. Born on June 8, 1930 in Chepachet, RI, Paine stood 6' 2" and weighed 180 lb. He attended Burrillville (Burrillville, RI) high school.
