Phil Jackson (full name: Philip D. Jackson; Phil, Action) played Forward-Center from 1968 until 1980 for the New York Knickerbockers and New Jersey Nets. Over 12 seasons, he played 807 games, scored 5428 points (6.7 ppg) and grabbed 3454 rebounds (4.3 rpg). Jackson also dished out 898 assists (1.1 apg), made 281 steals (0.3 spg), and blocked 199 shots (0.2 bpg) during his career. Born in Deer Lodge, Montana on September 17, 1945, Jackson stands 6-8 and weighs 220 lbs. He attended high school at Williston in Williston, North Dakota and college at University of North Dakota. He was drafted by the New York Knickerbockers in the 2nd round (5th pick, 17th overall) of the 1967 NBA draft.
