He is a professional baseball player who is part of the Major League Baseball team New York Yankees. HE graduated Foothill High School in California where he developed his pitching skills and was named as part of the All-American first team and had one perfect game throw. He finished his high school career with 9-1 and an earned run average of 0.69. He will have played for the Santa Clara University but then was picked by the New York Yankees in 2004. He was a first round pick in the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft where he became a 23rd overall pick.
He played in the minor leagues during his first seasons as a Yankee. He played well for the Gulf Coast League Yankees where he made 8 strikes. In 2005, he played for both the Class A Charleston Riverdogs and the Tampa Yankees which is an Advanced A team. He spent a few more seasons at the minor before he finally made his major league debut on April 26, 2007. He made a number of records for the team and was again named as the New York Yankees’ starter for the 2010 season. He ranked 45th in the Minor League News and was the third among Moundtalk’s Top 100 Prospects. He was also named as the fourth prospect of the Baseball America in 2007.
