He started his National Hockey League career as a draft of the New York Rangers. He was an eighth-round pick of the Rangers in the Natonal Hockey League draft in the 2002 season. A 240th overall pick in the said draft, he wrapped up the 2004-2005 season with 47 games played in the Czech Republic League. There, he played for the HC Moeller Pardubice and logged seven goals with the team and scored seventeen points.
He joined the New York Rangers in the 2005-2006 seasons and logged 30 goals and 47 points for the team. He appeared in a total of 68 games that season and has beaten Camille Henry’s recordwith 16 powergoals made.
He was signed with the Phoenix Coyotes on March 4, 2009 via trade that made Derek Morris a member of the New York Rangers.
Among his notable achievements in the Czech league was being able to record the highest number of points with 56 pints ofr the 2001-2002 season. In NHL, he appeared in a total of 335 games and scored 78 goals. According to statistics, he scored 145 points in all and made 67 assists.
