 Peter A. Ing is a retired professional hockey player who hails from Toronto, Ontario. He was born on April 28, 1969 and has mixed ancestry, his father being a Chinese. He was drafted to play in the National Hockey League as a 48th overall pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1988 NHL Draft. Listed at 6 ft. 2 in. and 170 lbs., he served as a goaltender for the hockey teams he played for and caught with his left. Aside from the Maple Leafs, he also played for the Edmonton Oilers and the Detroit Red Wings. Ing also appeared in the International Hockey League and played for a several teams in the American Hockey League. In the IHL, he played for the Las Vegas Thunder, the Fort Wayne Komets and the Cincinnati Cyclones. He served as a goaltender for American Hockey League teams Cape Breton Oilers and Adirondack Red Wings, as well as for the Newmarket Saints.

 

He played 74 games in the regular seasons of the National Hockey League and made a 20-37 win-loss ratio and one shutout.
