Pete Whisenant (full name: Thomas Peter Whisenant; no nicknames) played outfielder from 1952 until 1961 for the Boston Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Redlegs, Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins and Cincinnati Reds. He played for the Braves in 1952, Cardinals in 1955, Cubs in 1956, Redlegs from 1957 - 1960, Senators in 1960, Indians in 1960, Twins in 1961 and Reds in 1961. Over 8 seasons, he played 475 games, hit 37 home runs, drove in 140 runs, and stole 17 bases. Born on December 14, 1929 in Asheville, NC, Whisenant stood 6' 2" and weighed 190 lb.
