About Pete Mahovlich:
Pete Mahovlich (full name: Pete Mahovlich; no nicknames) played center from 1966 until 1981 for the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins. He played for the Red Wings from 1966 - 1981, Canadies from 1970 - 1978 and Penguins from 1978 - 1979. Over 16 seasons, he played 884 games, scored 288 goals, and made 485 assists. Born in Timmins, Ontario on October 10, 1946, Mahovlich stands 6-5 and weighs 210 lbs. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1st round (2nd overall) of the 1963 NHL Amateur Draft. Mahovlich officially announced retirement on November 6, 1985.
