Pete Mackanin (full name: Peter Mackanin; no nicknames) played second baseman, shortstop and third baseman from 1973 until 1981 for the Texas Rangers, Montreal Expos, Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins. He played for the Rangers from 1973 - 1974, Expos from 1975 - 1977, Phillies from 1978 - 1979 and Twins from 1980 - 1981. Over 9 seasons, he played 548 games, hit 30 home runs, drove in 161 runs, and stole 27 bases. Born on August 1, 1951 in Chicago, IL, Mackanin stands 6' 2" and weighs 190 lb. He attended Brother Rice Catholic (Chicago, IL) high school and was drafted by the Washington Senators in the 4th round of the 1969 amateur draft.
