Pete Fox (full name: Ervin Fox; no nicknames) played rightfielder from 1933 until 1945 for the Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Tigers from 1933 - 1940 and Red Sox from 1941 - 1945. Over 13 seasons, he played 1461 games, hit 65 home runs, drove in 895 runs, and stole 158 bases. Born on March 8, 1909 in Evansville, IN, Fox stood 5' 11" and weighed 165 lb. He attended Bosse (Evansville, IN) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on April 12, 1933 and he played his final game on September 23, 1945. Common misspellings of his name include Ervin Pete peter Fox.
