Pete Burnside (full name: Peter Willits Burnside; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1955 until 1963 for the New York Giants, Detroit Tigers, Washington Senators and Baltimore Orioles. He played for the Giants from 1955 - 1958, Tigers from 1959 - 1960, Senators from 1961 - 1963 and Orioles in 1963. Over 8 seasons, he started 64 games, won 19 games, struck out 303 batters, and had a 4.81 ERA. Born on July 2, 1930 in Evanston, IL, Burnside stands 6' 2" and weighs 180 lb. He attended New Trier (Winnetka, IL) high school. His debut was on September 20, 1955 and he played his final game on September 27, 1963.
