Percy Harvin, born William Percival Harvin III is a National Football League wide receiver who was born on May 28, 1988 in Virginia. He graduated at Landstown High School where he also played high school football and went to University of Florida in college. As a child, he played football in several tournaments and his skills were even improved as he grew up. In high school, he became a leader in a number of games including the Virginia Group AAA Division Championship where he earned a perfect 14-0 record for his team. He was a recipient of many awards because of his exceptional plays. One is the National Junior Player of the Year in 2005 which was followed by more than a few awards in college. In 2006, he was included to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and was awarded as the SEC College Freshman of the Year and 2006 SEC Championship Game Most Valuable Player. He is also part of the 2006 NCAA National Championship Football Team and the 2008 NCAA National Champion Football Team.
He went to professional football playing in 2009 after being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings. He showed great plays at the beginning of his career and was given the AP National Football League Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2009 and the SN All-Pro Team Selection in the same year. As of Week 17, he has 60 receptions, 790 rceiving yards and 6 touchdowns.
